Seven Star Tempest is a science fiction graphic novel inspired by pulp science fiction set in Proxima, the network of space stations around Earth and the Moon.
The WorldIt's the year 2254 and Earth is near uninhabitable due to ecological collapse. Humanity branched out and moved its food production and industry into a network of space stations around Earth. The region of space within Earth's magnetosphere that houses the majority of the space stations is referred to as 'Proxima'. |
Endless AutomationProxima wouldn't be possible without extensive advancements in automation and AI. The machines would seek out the expanse for resources and then use them to set up the infrastructure. Same infrastructure that was the scaffold for space stations known as 'Polices'. The name of the Polis comes from its general purpose. For example, a residential station is an "UrbPolis", research station is a "TechnoPolis". |
Cloning BluesCertain rare earth minerals became difficult get after the collapse. This along with supply chain disruption limited the production of new technology. During the crisis experiments were conducted aimed at cloning organisms with desirable traits. Human clones known as 'Homunculi' were grown tailored for specific tasks. Yet, in 2205 the process became regulated due to mounting cloning defects. The few Homunculi that still exist and enjoy the same rights as naturally produced humans, but are extensively monitored. |
Offworld SecurityOffworld Security was established in 2218 to police the variety of space stations known as 'Polices' in Proxima. Before the task fell onto a loose coalition of remaining Earth governments. Offworld carries out everything muggings to cases of corporate espionage. |
